i just bought a 84 honda spree and the lights work, nothing when i hit the start button, no spark to the spark plug when i hot wired it, there is a plug that doesnt go to anything and i need to find out what part i need and where it goes..here are a few pictures.. HELP!!! im dying to ride it lol

Hot wire? What did you do to hot wire it?

Have you looked in the service manual at the wiring diagram for a 4 pin plug with those wires going to it?

i didnt get a service manual with it, i believe it is a starter relay that is missing

Service manual available free on this site in the "Honda Service and Owners Manuals" section for down loading. You should never work on one of these things with out it.

i have looked at the wiring diagram and i am pretty sure that the starter relay is whats missing.

Correct, connector is the starter relay. Good work to all

i got the starter relay today and it was the right part and the engine turns over now with the start button...however im not getting any spark from my spark plug which is brand new, is this a faulty wire somewhere because i was able to get it to spark a few times when i had it in my hand, i know this cause it gave me quite a lil shock lol im getting closer to riding this d*** thing but if its not one thiing its another i guess..help please!!

i would go through and start testing some of the electronics, the service manual tells you how to do all this. also make sure the kill switch is turned to on.

i have a 86 an the batery leaked over the CDI box went with a performance cdi and new coil and it solved the problem

Are you pressing in the brake lever then hitting the start button? You should.

Also make sure the kill switch is to the on position
