What type of oil do you put in ???

Hey you guys well like I said previously in going to change the oil on my Honda spree and felt a bit confused on what to use. The manual says 10w 40 but allot of guys are saying go with gear oil ... What do you guys recommend and please recommend me a exactly what you use thanks !!!

so long as its going in the final drive gear case then 10w 40 engine oil is what you want mix in 30mls of Morleys engine oil stabolizer for that extra protection

I add Lucas to my gears it quiets them down and keeps the oil around them. Not that they were noisy but they are quieter than they were before the Lucas. I figure that Honda put 10w40 in the final gears for a reason so I'd stay with it. A litre of 10w40 should do more than a few final gear oil changes. I use a squeeze condiment bottle from the dollar store to put the oil in because it has the pointy nozzle on it that fits in the hole easy. I have an empty 1litre oil bottle with the side cut out to make it into a mini drain pan and it gets close to the wheel so all I do is tip the scooter and drain the case. Clean no mess. Then fill till it starts to trickle from the hole and you are done put the plug back in.
