Add-ons, lights get brighter on throttle and getting grief.

Hi all, sorry for the bad topic title haha. Anyways I was wondering because I am fairly new to this what are some add-ons I could buy like a radio, bore kit, etc and where could I buy them. The second question is my turn signals and lights only work when I'm on the throttle or going faster then like 10mph, if any of you know why or hot to fix it I would greatly appreciate it. And third of all have any of you received crap for riding a moped? Because I was riding mine to target and was minding my own business then these three teenagers were giving me grief and stuff about my moped and I didn't even know them, do any of you go through that too? Get a new battery and those turn signals should work better. The low voltage @ idle is your problem.

I wouldn't add too much to the sprees electrical system, in the way of accessories. The charging system can hardly keep up as it is.

Check the Batt with a voltmeter with and without the bike running. If the voltage goes up when you rev it, the charging system is probably fine. As stated above, you likely have a weak or undercharged battery.

Go ride it a bit then try the TS at idle when you get home.

did you charge the batterey befor you fitted 99% of batts need charging befor use

No I didn't charge it, I just picked it up brand new from the store, the battery start works. Thanks for all the replies I really appreciate it guys! And I live in the Grand Rapids area

i just purchased an 89 elite two days ago and i love it. i also need to get a new battery as the one i have is just plain old and my electric start is starting to act wonky and i have the light dimming issue as well.

i at some point wanna add speakers and some sort of low power head unit so i can plug an ipod into it at least. anybody tried this and theoretically what power solutions do i need to look into? most likely just an extra battery, but how would i wire it all up?

i'm in michigan as well haha
