Cannot bleed oil pump

Cannot bleed oil pump
I have a Vision ne50 (af05 engine) and have tried bleeding the oil pump. I've followed the handbook procedure (for the Aero) but cannot push any oil through the pump to prime and bleed it. I used a syringe to try and push it through then tried to suck through from the pump outlet but nothing. It can't be blocked so what next? Can anyone explain this or experienced it? I think I will prime all the oil lines and premix the first tankful at 32:1 then see if the pump is pushing anything. Having worked on plenty of two strokes I am surprised that no bleed screw is provided. Also what is behind the plate held on by 2 screws where the oil comes into the pump?

Re: Cannot bleed oil pump
you could also remove the pump but leave the lines hooked up then attach a drill gun (running the correct way) and run it till its flowing evenly

Re: Cannot bleed oil pump
It's blocked by the rotary intake/exhaust valve. The intake and exhaust are never open at the same time. The only way to get oil across the intake to output side is to slowly seep it past the clearances of the pump.I used a syringe to try and push it through then tried to suck through from the pump outlet but nothing. It can't be blocked so what next? Can anyone explain this or experienced it?
Couple links with disassembled oil pump parts:

Re: Cannot bleed oil pump
Many thanks. I have the non adjustable af05 pump and the photo and explanation are really useful. I always worry about air bubbles in the line and replacing the original clear oil lines with black ones hasn't helped. Does running pre mix and letting the pump sort itself out really get rid of air bubbles?
Re: Cannot bleed oil pump
you bleed the oil line not the pump, if you don't get a steady thin stream of oil flow there is a strainer at the oil tank outlet that can gum up, clean it and you will be fine.
some people dream of speed, i own your dreams!
Re: Cannot bleed oil pump
Ok I've primed both oil lines before attaching and have already had the oil tank off and checked the strainer/filter...it was very clean as I had hoped for a machine with just one thousand miles on. Not much more to do before I get her re-started. I' m looking forward to hearing how my Italian Proma pipe will sound Thanks all for your help!
