I was looking at that, but I've read some bad experiences with it. I was going to try to use the Honda stuff just to avoid any possible issues. I'm sure that stuff is fine, but If I can get the Honda stuff localy...

Three bond makes hondabond ht and yamabond 4. Just slight different formulas. Every engine I build I use yamabond 4 or hondabond ht. I use to use hylomar but since years ago I started using hondabond ht, now they've changed the formula and I try to use yamabond 4.

I know people who have blamed motoseal for not sealing but I believe its from not allowing it to set up first or not cleaning the cases. Motoseal is thicker and stickier, hondabond ht is thinner and easier to use, and yamabond is the perfect blend of the two.

I can't even find Honda 3 . Honda bond 4 and HT. Of course one site says 4 is not for use on gasket less , and others say it is for gaskets. Maybe I should just use HT?

I read all of these are Threebond products. The 1104 which is supposed to be Hondabond is the same stuff Nissan spec's for their gasketless sealing.

Hondabond 4 is for gaskets and it is not for gasket less applications. Meaning it can not be used as a gasket less application such as sealing two metals together, like case seals. But if you have a gasket you can use hondabond 4 as an additional sealant for uneven surfaces that the gasket would not fill.
For cases you use hondabond ht or yamabond 4.

So Hondabond HT or Yamabond 4, or Threebond 1104?

Well, here is the deal... Lol.... The Honda dealer is about twice as far as the Yamaha dealer. I also have a powerspprt store (they sell parts, gear, etc) which sells Threebond 1184 which I guess replaced 1104 and 1194 because of lead content. Am I just as good with going to get some Yamabond 4 or Threebond instead of driving another 20 miles to the Honda store? I should have just bought some from you G9 along with the crank and bearings....doh!

Sounds good. One other question regarding this stuff. Some people have said they smear a little bit on their metal base gasket for some extra sealing piece of mind. Opinions?
