It only took me two minutes and six bolts to prove myself wrong.
I`ll shut up now. We can learn much from wise words, and less from wise guys.

My problem with the kickstart is that I can get it to start right away but once I turn it off and try to re-start it jams everytime. The only way to un-jam it is to take off the plate and reset, which is really annoying. I do not think this is a flooding problem, but a consistent jamming issue, even though I used a ton of lithium lube on the gears.

This happens when the snap ring that holds the kicker shafts fails and the shafts slides inwards. Check that the spring is hooked to the correct points. Finally, flat out wear on the shafts and the bushings the can cause off-axis jams. New parts are necessary.
