Re: Coolant options?
I use Toyota Super Long Life coolant, it is pink in color, contains no silicates and always stays clean looking, unfortunately people sometimes confuse it with Dexcool ( and its negative reputation) due to its color.
The really great advantage to using this coolant is it's leak find characteristic, it will leave pink crust deposits anywhere there is a microscopic leak, it will pinpoint leaks that are naked to the eye and so small they dont even need to be addressed.
The other reason I use it as I always get free leftovers from a local dealership, I would probably purchase it anyway, now that I know how good it works.

Greetings:
I got my pre-mixed, silicate-free coolant from Ace Hardware. There's a good chance they're the same stuff in different jugs.
