So ive put the new engine on my "84 spree but when i turn the key on, nothing, no lights, unless its on the charger, even then the starter isnt right, first starter sounded like a power drill, the one on it now is just clicking, so whats going on

Starter motor for Spree comes with two different gears.
One with 10 teeth, and one with 11 teeth.
The difference is that one fits 84-85, and the other fits 86-87 (I think that's right)
They will NOT interchange.
Search "Spree starter motor" in the Search block at the top of this page.

well i have the "84 starter, 2 of them, they both dont work now, they both click, i hold the start button, it clicks once, *

I think you need a new battery. You can try jumping it to an automotive battery with small cables that have alligator teeth rather than large jaws. Then you'll have the voltage and ampacity to turn it over. Be careful with the battery leads. I once had the positive one touch the fuel tank which itself was grounded. The large grounding current burnt out all of the green ground wiring from the chassis which I had to carefully replace, splicing in wherever it branched.

While indeed a bad battery can sometimes cause those symptoms,
I suggest the first thing you do is bench-test both starters.
Do they spin freely when energized ?

ive figured out that its the solenoid, but if that doesnt help it, then i might strive for a kickstart
