Re: premix too much oil wont start
Most two strokes I've owned will run with quite a bit of oil in the fuel.
If its too bad you can just drain the tank and carb and refill with new stuff.
If you've fouled the plug, clean it up.

Re: premix too much oil wont start
I've run engines on 16:1 you would have to have a *-ton of oil before it's not going to start. Might be good to drain as sugested and try again. Also make sure that the fuel lines and float bowl are not full of staright oil, that can happen if you dump oil in the tank and dont shake the machine right away. Had it happen once with my gas bike motor kit, had to drain the oil out of the float bowl on the side of the road. You can use a propane or mapp gas torch to heat the tip of the plug glowing red to burn off any fouling on it. Hold it with pliers or in a vise and let it air cool o it's own. Will be like a brand new plug.

How can you say that when the OP doesn't tell you if he's on a Spree or a Sportster ?

Greetings:
Odd you should mention the Sportster. I once bought Irie-dee-Yum plugs for my twin-plug 1200S from some brand I can't remember. While the stock plugs used a standard plug socket, the exotic replacements required a really weird size, like 18mm deep socket.
