Then I would certainly start by inspecting every inch of the harness front to back. Looking for tell tale signs of micky-mouse handywork. Paying close attention to the
Hi/Low switch on the left grip and ignition wiring. Theres a good chance its been "hotwired" in such a way that the headlight is on constant power to the batt. Popping fuses is also a dead giveaway theres something not kosher.
The Hi/Low switch on the left grip is essentially where the headlight SHOULD get its power from....Not the battery. There is a YELLOW wire from that switch that goes directly to the alternator to power the light.
Recap:
From the Headlight to Hi/Low switch on the Left Grip should be One Blue and One White wire....(and a Green Ground wire that goes elsewhere)
From the Hi/Low switch should be a Yellow wire going directly to the Alternator.
Other wires on the Left Grip Switch are:
BLACK: Hot lead from battery to power the Horn, governed by the ignition
LIGHT GREEN: Goes to Horn
LIGHT BLUE: Right Turn Signal
ORANGE: Left Turn Signal
GREY: Goes to Turn Signal Relay
I need to find some new haters...the ones I have are starting to like me.
