* when you first start out

Post by hondaman »

Heres the problem
When i first accelerate the spree * a little bit and once it gets going it
rides real smooth. It will go about 30 miles per hour top end. Could it be the belt slipping or clutch or something in the tansmission? I took the belt cover off and the belt looks real good no missing tread etc. Could it be stretched ? What tools do you need to replace the belt? IT kind of makes a rubbing sound when you first take off. Anybody got any solutions or theories?

check tension on the belt by pulling on it. if its tight it is probably not slipping unless it has oil on it. i would also check that the nuts are tight, and make sure there is oil in the rearend.
