New to me 84 spree, overheating loss of power problem?

Different plug mfg either go up or down on numbers for heat range... I can never keep them straight. With NGK, apparently higher # is colder.

not till you put that head on and boy i guess you did not do a compression test cause it would of told you more than likely if you should get a new head or not, instead of buying one outright. No sense in helping someone who can't read. You obviously did not do the compression test or you would of came back with a number.thems youngins for you.
