Will an '87 SE50P engine fit on a 96 SA50?

I was going to buy it from a guy if it will fit. I called my local honda place and the guy acted like i was talking an alien language or something. Anyhow, any assistance would be much appreciated. thanks!

why would you trade a d dio for a se50 engine. thats like putting a 4 banger in a road runner.
