Battery Question

for the 1986 NQ50 Sprees - im trying to understand how the battery work. is it a deep cycle? does it recharge at all or must that be done externally?

The battery is not deep cycle. It's like a car battery, normally its charging while the engine is running. If you use the electric starter, it supplies power for that, then is recharged by your Spree's charging system.

External trickle charging is a good idea if you leave your scooter sitting all fall-spring due to weather.

how does that work, then? is there an alternator that is giving it power while the spree is running?
