My '84 ran well up to 20 mph, where it sputtered and so on. If I eased off the throttle it would run great. Up hill, downhill or on level ground. Made no difference. Installed a different CDI unit from the junk pile and she runs great. 28 mph on the sidewalk and, I expect, better when I get it on the street.
