drive belt

hi, new to the board and have got alot of good info from this, thanks to all. i.ve got an 86 that i,m just about finished re building...rod..piston bearings... all the good stuff ! but i,ve got a question about installing the drive belt. (new one) am i doing something wrong or what,s the secret to putting it on ? this baby is TIGHT ! Thanks in advance !

its supposed to be. the clutch adjusts the tension. if it is the right belt then, turn the engine every once in a while while tightening the drive face on the belt to keep it from snagging.
