Dumb question about front forks.

Post by fireblade »

I've just started riding my scooter agian for the first time for a while. It's been great for going Xmas shopping to beat the insane city traffic. (it's summer here in New Zealand before you ask)
It's handling a wee bit dodgey. I looked at the front forks, and my question is this. Are the front forks suposed to be straight all the way down to where the wheel bolts in? Mine curves forward at the bottom. Is it suposed to do that, or are my forks starting to bend?

Yea they are suposed to bend out a bit.
I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.

i had a scooter that had a weird stearing prob when if u dident hold the bars just right it would want to do the speed wobble. if thats what your fealing take a look at the bolt that holds the front tire on. it may be getting loose.
