i rebuilt my 85 spree n i was goin down the road around 35-37 n then ny engine just made this grinding noise n died. now wen i try 2 start it is makes a grinding noise.......any sugestions?

Does the engine actually still turn over?

Does the back tire spin freely? Pull off the belt cover and have a look, also pull the fan shroud. It could be anything.
I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.

I Thinkin you blew rings out and now piston is destroying itself.

the engine makes a grinding noise wen turning over n the back tire still turns freely.

Pull the belt cover off and try turning over the engine by hand.

k...tried that. wen i turn over engine the flywheel slips and dont move......think its belt or clutch?
