You have low compression, and think it's the crank seals? Seriously? Not the rings? Why is that?drewkuch wrote:True, ok.
Um, well what do i do next? i'm still at 30 psi compression. Spark and fuel ok. What to start with helping my compression or eliminating parts.
Rings i dont feel would make a dramatic change, but would help.
I think my reeds are ok.
What about crank seals?
Inspection means more than verifying the lack of gouges. Just because the piston rings "move freely" doesn't guarantee they provide an effective pressure seal in operation. Things can be worn out without visible signs of damage.ha.
So where do i start next if its so simple.
The cylinder wasn't brand new, but it didn't have grooves and the rings were moving freely. Should i just buy a new set of rings and try them?
