R/R Clutch

Post by Shootin_Spree »

I plan to remove and replace the clutch this winter and I found the clutch and brake pads at Honda. My question is the manual lists a clutch tool 07725-0030000 that is $43.41 at Honda. Has any one made a homemade one or found somthing else that will work?

The tool is called Universal Holder. It can be seen on page 8-6 in the Spree service manual.

An impact wrench saves a lot of time here. You can't hold the clutch using the brake. You can improvise a tool for this using a couple of 12-18" pieces of 1/2"x1/8" flat iron, with holes drilled in both ends. Bolt together one end to make a V, put bolts in the open end to hold the clutch drum.
