I found this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... 595wt_1188
and i know there are lots of parts that can be swapped over from nq50 to nb50s and I was wondering if this might be one of those things.
On the other hand I could be completely wrong.
variators, are there any compatible with the nq50?

Greetings:
No direct knowledge, but I have surmised that the Spree crankshaft is too short at the drive side to allow room for a variator.

Most of my money is spent on scooterparts. The rest is just wasted.

Now I know variators help but what do they actually do. I am basically just trying to get a decent knowledge of the part.

Greetings:
Like the different size chain rings on a bicycle, they allow fast starts, then shift up automatically to permit higher top speeds. Sprees run at one gear "ratio" relying on engine RPM to go from slow to somewhat faster. Variated bikes run within a narrow RPM band on the throttle, and the transmission goes from first "gear" to a 0.8:1 "overdrive. Roller weights can be swapped to match the power characteristics of the application.
