Honda Aero Spark Problems

Post by FiNk045 »

I have a little 110 4 stroke Honda Aero. It has a good stock sparkplug (BPR6HSA NGK) i checked the spark plug on a pit bike to make sure it works. i took the plug out of the scooter, and checked the cap and wire assembly with a spark tester, and the indicator shows a spark is present. however. when i put the spark plug in and plug it in. nothing. when i pull it out with the cap on, and hold it near the chassis to manually check for spark. nothing again. maybe my spark isnt hot enough? no idea. any help would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!

Often times no spark can be traced back to the stator coil, pulse generator, or bad contact with the flywheel.

Try new plug wire and cap. You sure you have an Aero? They were only available in 50/80/125 two strokes that I am aware of. What year is it?
I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.
