The cranks on the '94-up AF18E models are bigger around the business end - variator side - than those of the earlier AF05E blocks like the 1990. I don't know but suspect there are dimensional differences on the alternator side as well. The part numbers are different, and for sure the fan bolt pattern is different.
At $163, that flywheel sure is pricey!
