it looks big too. the tto is nice because its so small.

i just wish i would have got the matching tach instead of that one. i thought that black one was going to be a bit smaller than that.

i have got some work to do this week maybe i can scratch up the extra cash to at least get the TTO temp gauge, i really need one if i am going to be experimenting with these jet sizes and fuel oil ratios. I still have to purchase the rings for my stock Spree just dont really have the extra cash, it just want to get my Eve just right so i can ride her and not worry about ruining the cylinder i have spent a small fortune bringing this engine back from the graveyard where i found her. If mine is running lean causing the skip in exhaust pressure I dont see why dropping the needle down making it essentially more lean would make it run better

a tach is also handy to get the tuning just right. it made a world of difference when i was tuning the spree. i thought i had it tuned fairly well and then i put the tach on and found i was pretty far off. it definitely made a difference in the way it ran.

i took the zip tie off the pump and put the cable on it so it opens as the throttle does, set the clip back in the middle with 90-95 jet not sure exact size :D going to leave the 1 oz of oil in the tank till its gone may ride to the gas station and put some fresh gas in to dilute the oil in there since I am still breaking it in. with the pump tied and the needle all the way down it seemed like it was getting too hot, the kickstart cover was even too hot to touch for long. going to see what my plug looks like and let her cool all the way down before i start her and see how she runs. how exactly do you have yours set again that way i can have something to compare my setup to :D

i'll have to check where my needle sits. i never moved it so i'm not sure where it sits at the moment.

yea thanks dun rite :D after reading the article i think the needle I got from the china rebuild kit is * and not the right diameter. almost everything from that kit was CrAP :P my problems are around 1/4th throttle and the article explains how the taper of the needle affects from around 1/4th to 3/4 i am gonna round up all the needles i have and see if i cant get one to work :D

If u have a few needles to play with use some fine sand paper and reshape the end we used to do this on 2 stroke racing go karts to get the fine tuning right

i dont have any spares, i have misplaced them and they arent for the elite anyway i tried the needle from the spree just to see what would happen, same thing. I am about to say f*** it and order the 21mm oko carb kit and a pump plug and to * with this s***. a needle jet set for this carb is over 20 bucks, i know its the carb that is giving me all the problems
