Ive never experienced a lighting system that isn't on a 12V DC system.

The battery and DC charging system can't keep up with a 25w bulb if it was running directly off of the battery?
Yes the headlamp cluster light and bystarter are all AC

my Race bike has no battery and no rectifier....still has lights. :smile:

A HID setup can not be run from the AC side like the stock light.
Switching the tail/brake lights to LED's may help reduced the extra stress to the charging system.



This pic is the HID on the ammmeter (a spike to 7.93A then slowly settles at 3.62A

I have a 15w hid in there that settles to a little over 2amps. Do you know if an LED headlamp will run on the AC side?
