I even wrote fel-pro and asked for advice. They sent me this link
http://www.fme-cat.com/digipubZ/Fel-Pro ... ?page=1298

I told them I was specifically looking for material for my crankcase gasket (the ones that shipped with the 2 kits I bought didn't fit right and one was torn) but I would most likely replace them all. They said that I would need different materials for different parts of the bike. Awesomely confusing me even more.

I'm really thankful to have found this site. The local shops rudely treat me like dirt cause they just see a clueless girl. But I'm really trying. Scooters are the only thing I've ever driven (31 years old now) and I feel a real need to figure this out.

P.S. If you sold gasket kits, I would definitely buy one!!

Technically, Fel-Pro is right. Different part of bike use different gaskets.

But the majority are paper, and are same thickness, with only the piston base gasket is sensitive to squish height. The head gasket is aluminum (for heat transfer) and the carb has o-rings. The other gaskets are the crankcase seals, which are a particular type of spring-reinforced seal and really *should* be part of a full gasket kit, b/c they are failing on these bikes due to age.
