Tip For Carb Removal

Post by Justinsane »

Hey all, I just have a tip for anyone who plans on removing their carb for the first time.

When you take the Choke off, there will be 2 metal flaps on the bottom that connect to the "block" , theres 2 small phillips screws holding those into place.

Do Not take those screws out unless you want a heck of a hassle putting them back in. because theres 2x small square sized nuts on the other side that are extremely hard to get back in place for re-assembly.
thats about it.

Yeah, that doesn't sound like the stock Spree carb... although that might not be a bad thing.

to tell u the truth, i have had 3 engines. (2 elite 1 spree) i have used the spree carb on every engine including the dio right now. i have found the spree carb to be more reliable and it seems like more power.

8O I'm shocked. Spree carbs have been so notorious for plugging, I'd never thought of them as a performance upgrade. But then with only 2 jets, not much to go wrong, either.

they are just more simple. the other carbs i had (have) have a lot ore into them. even the oil line goes into the carb instead of the manifold.
