I recently acquired an 86 spree that has had a new piston and rings installed . After figuring out a bad spark plug was causing it to ride crappy, I'm now experiencing a smoking issue.. Thought at first it was just breaking the new stuff in, but it continues. Usually after longer rides. Anyone know why my bike may be doing this? is it hurting it? I also have taken it all apart, the carb, everything and made sure nothing was clogged or anything.. The bike is faster than usual also. My second issue is perhaps a wiring issue ? My oil light comes on, but goes off when I apply either brake, and or use the turn signals. I was told it could be because the battery is dead, and causing reverse polarity? Any info would be greatly appreciated !! thank you

Re: couple questions about performance
Smoke isn't a bad thing but it is more of a nuisance than anything. 2 stroke engines burn oil along with the gas, that's just how it is without going into details.
