Read my earlier call for help. this thing starts for about one second and then quits immediately. Leave it sit for 10-20 seconds and it repeats.
1. carburetor and main jet are clean
2. clean fuel is pumping- carb bowl is full.
3. air and Idle jets are set to initial positions
HERE IS A CLUE
if I loosen the two screws that hold the autobystart into the carb and pull it up slightly--it will run but won't idle. at least I know the ignition and fuel pump etc are all ok.
Is there a way to bypass the autobystart (is that what you call the choke?) so that I can get the unit to run?
Any suggestions most certainly appreciated. Gosh I hate to break down and take it to a dealer for service :-))
Thanks
Ed

Sounds to me like your idle jet is still plugged. Do a search on "idle jet" for more info. You may need to clean it with a toothpick.

Again, as before, the carb idle circuit is dirty. Perhaps plugged completely. You MUST see light through the idle jet. Guaranteed you can't.
