I bought a 1986 spree, it runs good but I want to give it a tune up... any recommendations? on a full tune up?

Is there oil in the crank case on these bikes?

Yes, there is oil in the crankcase otherwise the bearings would seize. The oil is injected into the intake manifold as any good 2 stroke should. So you don't change the oil in the crankcase, as it cycles thru the engine just fine along with the gas. Tune-up is as follows,

1- Change the spark plug

2- Drain the oil from the tank under the seat and install good 2 stroke injector oil

3- Install an in-line fuel filter between the tank and the carb (get on make for a gravity feed lawn mower)

4- adjust carb per spec in the manual (manual is available in the Tech Document section)

I would also add one more step which would be to change your gear oil . You just remove the fill bolt and lean scooter sideways until it all drains out. Then put scooter on center stand and refill with 10w-40 oil. I use a squirt type oil can to refill. Squirt oil into filler hole until it begins to run out. Replace bolt and your done.
