Just picked up a Honda Melody 'mini'. Its been sitting outside at the back of a guys shed for about 8 years..She started 4th kick with a bit of easy start, and still using the 8 year+ old fuel hehe very smokey. The scooter did not move at all so i took the kick start casing off to see whats going on... This is what i found....NO DRIVE BELT! plus the clutch looks like this....not good! Help!
I think and I say Think, it is like a Spree with Smile rear panels. I am uncertain but from what I have seen this leads me to believe it is the same. Good Luck keep us posted would be nice to see it look nice and up and functional.
for the clutch(s), take it completely apart and clean it up. Might need it blasted with some kind of media to clean it up. Assuming the pads are still good.......
those pads dont look anygood at all. looking at the pic it looks like a spree set up, id look for a clutch and is that front pulley on backwards? if so turn that thing around and if thats how you got it your gonna need an outer part of that pulley.!

Looks like it needs to be completely dissaasembled and cleaned over and over.
I still can't believe the carb was not gunked up.

It looks like its basicaly a spree drivetrain, so I would say any clutch for a spree would suffice, and I would maybe look for the entire rear pulley as one unit used instead of new, cheaper that way, good luck!

looks very very spree like, at least as far as the clutch design. give us some measurements off the clutch bell and we can report back on compatibility. very cool scooter i've never seen one. keep us updated, and welcome to the forum. and to my knowledge the first forum member from england. we've gone global.
