Honda Spree and Elite 50 Forums

After lot of headaches trying to find out why the NQ50 didn't want to run we finally found the answer. Plugged muffler!!!! I baked it, I ran Drano through it, I used compressed air, so on and so on. Today I took a 3" cutting wheel and sliced the muffler in half and guess what I found? No carbon build up but a huge chunk of sound deadening plugging the pipe. All the sound deadening was broken apart on the inside and the piece in the tail pipe would have never come out other then cutting it open. Pipe is being weld back up today at a local shop and will be on the scooter tomorrow.

while it was open you should hav had them replace the small sectioned pipes at the tail pipe end with slightly larger pipes it would help derestrick it
