I've got a slight rattling sound coming from my motor at 15 to 25 percent throttle only. Any ideas my bore has 700 miles on it and I'm sure its not piston slap.

By no means have I been working on these things long enough, but is it possible you have some rollers going out in the variator??

No the rollers are almost new no flat spots. It sounds like its coming from the exhaust side

Now that I think about it I had a rattle at about half throttle and sometimes at idle as well. It ended up being the heat shield on the exhaust. I just took it off.

This ninja votes on checking the sidestand to see if it causes the rattle. I had one at the shop that rattled and it took me an hour to find it... J

Could be anything. Does it rattle while on the stand? I have about 3-4 things which rattle on my SA50.

rattles like that could be center stand, variator ramp guides, of course worse case could be bearings

wrist pins, in my experience, even the worst ones, won't make a noticeable rattle.

Tru72 is right, i'd check those, last being crank bearings.

could be as simple as a loose side panel or fan shroud.

If you arent running the stock pipe, then throw the stock pipe on there if you have it.
That'll get rid of the exhaust noise and you'll be able to hear the sound better and maybe even isolate it.
Have someone in a car drive along side and see if they can hear it
