spree starving for fuel

Post by fra »

Have 85 spree that has not run for 3-4 years. Replaced the gas and it fires but will not run. Starving for fuel. Checked vaccum line and there is vaccum, but fuel is not flowing from fuel valve. What should I do. Also have 85 Aero 50 and it runs like a top. Thanks

check to make sure that the tank is not clogged, remove petcock and see if fuel flows from the tank if it does then clean or replace petcock. are you sure it is enough vacuum? pull the 2 hoses off and suck on the bottom one and see if fuel flows from the top hose.

you need to take the carb apart and see if the float is allowing fuel to enter the bowl
