Spree exhaust

Post by mgracer »

My 84 Spree pit bike got dumped and the exhaust seems to be plugged or highly restricted. Is there a problem if I cut it open, clean and remove everything inside then weld it back up? When I took it off and shook it, there was quite a rattle coming from inside.
It is only used as a pit bike, not on the street

you probly knocked the baffles loose, if you can find a foot long drill bit you can slide it in through the rear and drill the baffles out

How do you drill the baffles if they are knocked lose?

I would suspect that he knocked loose a bunch of carbon build up in the muffler rather than the baffles.

Try this to cure it.
