1985 spree wont go!!!!!

Bought a 1985 spree and it needed a new petcock and battery......got both and she fired right up... took it for a ride and it went 25mph for 1/2 a second .....then its just bogged out...cleaned the plug got new gas and cleaned the carb and it repeated..... any ideas on why it wont go??? by the way if i start it on the kickstand i can rev it up just fine.... just when it has to pull a load it boggs out.

Clean you carb again. Reving the engine on the center stand take less than a 10th the fuel than it does to make the engine haul the scooter down the street.

Is this the 85 red spree with 400 miles for $350 on craigslist?

Yes it is the honda spree for $350...and carb jets were plugged.... gonna wait for the next warm day see if that was my main problem.
