A few technical problems...

Post by Bleroy »

I have a few problems with my 85' spree.... One is that when you turn it on, the headlight doesn't come on like usual. The second is when I turn on the turn signal, it stays lit, no blinking. And one question, is the speedometer (dash) supposed to light up also? I have never seen it physically in the dark, so I'm not sure if it is supposed to. Thanks for the help! :newb: :2thumbs:

Yeah but I JUST bought a battery, so I don't think that is it. And I fully charged it. So maybe electricals... And what about the dash/speedometer?

UPDATE: Just tested it with another battery, and same thing happened, so no go on the bad battery.

The head light and dash lights are AC driven by the alternator and only work when the engine is running.

turn signals will come on and stay on if you have 1)a bad bulb 2)bad flasher unit.
If it don't fit, force it. If it breaks, it needed to be replaced anyway.
