Re: Turn Signals won't work
check the grounds to the lights and get a new flasher, one from the auto parts store will work.

Check the Turn Signal Relay.

Re: Turn Signals won't work
Hi,
Troubleshooting can follow several paths, and all paths will lead to the problem. I've drawn a simplified wiring diagram. and DMM probe points in order of likelihood IMHO.

- (1) Flasher is the first suspect because it would impact both left/right signals on all bulbs
- (2-3) Turn signal switch is suspect because sometimes a bad center contact (probe point #1) takes out both left/right signals
- (4) Grounds are last, because they are independent front/rear turn signals. Same is true for bulb faults. Check if you need to, but verify power first. It's not shown, but check front turn signal bulbs and grounds too if needed
Re: Turn Signals won't work
great ..thanks for the diagram
with the flasher ( left side of frame , near the top of frame ?) would it make a difference if I get the leads swapped ?
Thanks again

Re: Turn Signals won't work
I recall the flasher is not a thermal operated device (polarity insensitive). Will take one apart tomorrow. Meantime, mind correct wire connections.with the flasher ( left side of frame , near the top of frame ?) would it make a difference if I get the leads swapped ?

So got the flasher replaced , now the signals just stay on ...no blinking , no burnt out bulbs
stock flasher = nothing
replacement = on but no blink
battery is good
also I can rev it out and still no blink
guessing maybe the new flasher is no good ?....automotive type ( round )

I also got same problem. But it seems that I am not grasping the information posted. Any site you think that might be of help.

Re: Turn Signals won't work
So for me it was a bad "new" flasher
the flasher is just where it is in the picture ...go to any auto parts store and buy a regular round flasher
