a drill. so in that case is the auto-bi-starter even in use?? please just give me some general info

There is a 'wiki' topic on the bystarter at this link

Member 'dun rite' just did a detailed teardown in this thread
do they often go bad?
The bystarter itself is pretty reliable. Petcock, Carb problems, or a plugged carb bowl orifice to the bystarter fuel supply is probably more common fuel issues. Have you gone through general checks - fuel in bowl, carb clean, spark present?

No problem there, the bystarter is a slow (minutes) thermally operated device, and when cold, it's ready to go. It needs no power from the battery. Rather once the engine starts, AC power from the stator energizes a heater, which causes a slow extension of the needle and air valve. That tapers off extra fuel and air as the engine warms up.

yes all parts of the carb are clean even the reed....
and getting plenty of spark and we also checked for compression and it is fine also at around 110 pounds but it still doesnt even get close to starting

So in this thread it has 110 psi and in the "$20" thread it has 120 psi?
