hope you can read this spelling is not good

have cracks in the back panels of my 1985 spree like to no how to fix them ??
i no there alot of this out there just get new !!!!
its more fun to fix then to by .
and can i cut out the vents

I was actually thnking about doing the same thing with the vents and putting plastic skulls in the holes I dont think it will hurt to remove them. Not sure about fixing the cracks, they sell fiberglass repair stuff at the auto store sorta like bondo and I think they make some kind of plastic welding stuff for atv plastics. You will just have to experiment with different binding agents. Either way it wont be pretty and you may have to repaint them. Since I have 2 Spree and I have to cut the plastics on my newest one since i swapped motors I am thinking about cutting out a lightning bolt design on each side and putting an led light bar on the frame in front of the motor with a switch tied to the motor so at night I can turn it on and you can see lightning bolts as I zoom by lol

here's what i have figer out so far
the abs side cover cut nice with my snag grinder with a mettle cutting disk on it and ill bet you could cut your shape with a dremel as well just make the side cover lock down so it don't move on you and take your time

here another thing you could do to your spree get a old tail light cover sand the out side smool with (cant think what its call)the paper you use to wet sand our a car start with... 320 and go to about 600 get all the id number off I'm the middle of the tail light you put a shape on it...I've made mine way back then by putting masking tape on glass and cutting it out ... if you want you could do the sides all well then pant it black let dry and peal off the shape it a old trick but it neat

me I'm trying 2 build the first spree SS body stile ever and the side cover are not in the best shape
then after that ill start on a mortar to go with the body sometime this winter

Sounds kewl. I cant do the trick with peeling off my spree is already jet black thats why i figured cutting a lightning bolt shape out with (you got it) a dremmel and putting like a green led light on the frame above the motor would make it really stand out at night I'd like to get someone who makes decals and have them done in Green with maybe Mystic instead of Honda I'm a nerd

you paint the light cover black then peal the sticker to let the light out the shape you make..
in trying to work out how to fix the crack and if you use a dremal use a cutting weel to do so and take your time

ohhh ok I gotcha I didnt quite understand what you were saying. That could definately work. Oh rest assured I will be posting pics of anything I do to my spree on my project thread. its under 86 black Spree project, take a look at it if you want tons of pics oh yea I am an expert with a dremmel, I have used it when nothing else would work on my dads tractor enlarging bolt holes etc etc they made those Farmalls outta some strong stuff

i think mit have a fix for my side cover

well here's what i came up with don't no if this will work butt its worth a try .. if someone has try this and it has not work let me no i figer if it can hold water pressure it should hold 2 this

clean both matting sides and use the primer on both pesses

use a clamp to hold it in place... mine sliped and its not perfect but good enuff for my first try
