Petcock Adaptor

Has anyone found a good way to use the larger, readily available petcock size on a spree tank ment for the smaller threaded version? I know I can seek out and find the smaller petcock but I would rather make it work with what I have.

Made this little guy out of a bit of tube and a random fitting I found in the garage. If it leaks I may have to take you up on your offer mystic, thanks!
