It will now turn over,114lbs compression, showing spark on the tester, and when I ground the plug to the block
although it looks weak????.rebuilt carb ,tank cleaned everything cleaned.
squirt gas ,starter fluid in carb and I get NOTHING wont even kick over NOTHING,its driving me nuts
Cant fiquar it out, spark ,compression and gas it wont kick over??????

Can anyone give me some direction, down loaded manual, tested ignition and cdi wires ,but theres now way to

First off keep the starting fluid away from your 2 stroke or you will ruin it. If you want to prime it, use gas and oil premix at 50 to 1 ratio. If the spark looks weak, test the ignition system per the service manual.

Change the spark plug.

Service manual.

First thing to do is check for spark. Take the spark plug out and put the end of it on some metal and crank it over. You should be able to see the spark

Oops. Missed that. If spark is weak. It may not be sparking under compression

Ive been working on small engines awhile, new plug, shows saprk on tester, and when grounded to block
looks wkit and and weak, new ignitiuon swith cleaned all connections every where,New battery
cranks over, down loaded manuel did all tests, all looked good,BUT oyu cant test the CDI
itsself, when i put the meter on the CDI like it says in the areo manuel I get Nothing.
But the spree manuel dosent show anything about metering the CDI,i only shows testing the
wires going into the CDI.
But got compression ,gas and weak spark on a new plug.
Could this be a CDI or coil problem??????? :*:

yes it mite bee
ive had a week spark and its the pick up was to far from the fly weal .. when you have the fly weal expose it down by the bottom of the motor i use a peace of new paper to set the gap
these motor well not run if the air filter box is not shot and sealed.

My guess would be the coil. Flywheel is lined up properly? Exhaust doesn't have any kind of blockage? Not getting way too much fuel?

I took the exhaust off ,blew in it nothing completetly blocked ,put the air hose in and it popped.
what ever it was came loose.
cranked the engine with the exhaust off and all the gas ,that built up came out,and she satrted up
put the exhaust back on ,also cleaned the magnet and and closed the gap on the pulse ??? coil .
and she is now idleing.
bought the thing for a $100.00 bucks ,,,,,NOW i need a bystarter, and key lock for the seat 1986 spree
thanks again to mystic and pimpinspree
