SB50P starting problem

Post by that1mopedguy »

I have a 1989 sb50p. when i pull the brake lever and push the "start" button, it makes a noise that sounds like a trains horn but then starts up after a couple times. haha. is it because of the cold outside, or what? does anyone have any suggestions?

probably a dirty or dry (no lube) or bad starter bendix. Disassemble, clean, lube and try again. If not fixed, replace the bendix.
