A local here in my town rides a Piaggio MP3. http://www.piaggiousa.com/innovation.html

It's quite a peice of engineering.

I too have a dream of a three-wheeled scooter-derived vehicle. but I'm more going for the reverse trike, with two wheels in front. but with a tad more engineering than that... thing Mike found. I'm thinking lower, longer, and wider, essentialy a three-wheeled street-legal go-kart. (I've never fit that many hyphens into a legit sentence... I'm the hyphen-master!)

....here is an unbiased report from a friend/scooter tech on MP3's...."stable and fun to ride on straight roads, same on smooth, curved roads....but in the case of negotiating a curve on a bumpy road, the steering is adversely affected making it no fun at all".....Dimelo Motorworks

Unfortunately, none of the Gyro-X wheels will fit because Gyro S models are 3 lug. I was hoping you would tell me of an adapter being marketed for 3 to 4 lug switching..... :urban:

Mike, What about building a set of adapter plates for the gyro? If you were interested, we could whip up a drawing that you could take to your local machinist!

Secondly, those wheels look like lawn mower wheels. Those are traditionally shaft mounted, so they could be adapted to the three wheel setup if you wanted some fatties on your bike!
