Glad you got it running smoothly now you gotta fine tune it to get the most juice outta that sucker
yes i still have stock gears. i have 9:1 gears on the way. also kelli vari w/ 9 gram rollers.
I'd like to get to 55mph. you think it is possible w/ this setup?
I have never done that to a muffler so maybe someone else will chime in I reckon you will just have to install the new parts when you get them and find out, surely you can hit a solid 50

i cut the exhaust open and took the baffles out. then welded it back together. you think this will help w/ that?
i have done this a couple of times with little help if the pipe is good to begin with and not full of crap if its pipe is full it dose help but it will be louder ..
i think what eliteguy50 is saying is that if you change the tip of the expipe it wood help ... but to big and no back pressure you lose... 2 cycle need back pressure if you dont have anuff back pressure you lose H.P. and tork ..

yeah i'm not sure how big it should be so i'm not gonna mess w/ that.
Just get a dremmel tool if u don't have one and grind out where the washer used to be and make it as big and smooth as possible but don't cut thru the pipe and make sure there is still enough for the exhaust to seal with the bore. Use that same dremmel and try to make ur intake larger and intake part on the case (engines part) dont get rid of the divider but i can make it smoother and therefore more air and fuel pushed into ur bore. Might get close to 50mph
i thought i hit 40mph today but another forum member let me know that i wasn't there yet.
well 38.5 or 39mph is fine w/ me. i'm pretty sure if i go wot i'll get 40.

Top speed won't change much, until you get a higher reving pipe or taller gears.
