Just took my carb off to check the jet and give it a nice thorough cleaning. When I was taking it off the scooter (SE50) I only unhooked one line (fuel) and no others were attached. My question is where in the * do these 2 ports on the bottom go to? I checked my shop manual and its not helping me one bit.

Over flow for the bowl. Lets out the gas if it becomes too full.

the brass on the bottom is the drain and the other is the bowl vent

Nope, both need to end in the atmosphere.

When it was new there was a piece of hose hooked to it, but 99% of the time they become annoying so they are left off.

As posted before- No need to worry. Just get those tiny holes cleaned out!

If you can get to a hardware store, I would suggest spending a dollar and picking up a short length of hose for that drain tube. It's usually about 5 or 6 inches. It makes draining the carb a nice, clean job. Draining the carb bowl is something you should anytime you're not going to ride your scoot for a few months and/or storing it over the winter.

Hardware store is a bad idea. Either your local ATV/motorcycle shop or auto parts store is better, their line will be alcohol and every other nasty thing they put in fuel today, resistant. Also clear hose is best for all your hoses. It lets you see what is going on inside the hose.
