Hello, Are the honda NN50 and TG50 cylinders interchangeable? Are the Honda Sprees interchangeable with them?
Thanks, Kev

Hello kev,...Checking the parts fiche...finding that NN50 cylinder has different part # than TG50...However they show the same base gasket and head,...leading me to believe that they will interchange but are slightly different when comparing ports. The Spree appears not interchangeable...no matching numbers.... :urban:

Yes, they will swap either direction I've used an NN50 cyl on a TG50. TG50 intake and exhaust ports are cut a minor amount higher giving a slight duration increase.

Spree cylinder will not fit at all. The exhaust is oriented with mounting ears rotated about 180 from Gyros. This makes the cylinder unable to mount due to interference with the crankcase.

Do you know if it is a Dio 44mm piston kit that has been successfully used in TG50 cylinder, or is it another spec piston?

Dio pistons have a 12mm pin and pin to piston top height is longer. That puts a damper on drop in fit. Taz has custom pistons for Sprees, which share the same pin dia and stroke as Gyros. I'll let 'Taz fill in how it works - but there is the search.

I heard it was a newer express piston that needed minor work to fit? :bs:
