starting engine

i just picked up an 85 spree and its junk, i was wondering if you have to have the ignition coil to be able to start the engine

Haha, yes it is rather necessary. Its like trying to start it without a sparkplug. Because without that you are turning the motor, just not having ANY spark. i have a used one if you are intrested. Not sure of its condition. But i may test it for a small fee if you want to buy it. (kind of a hassle to test) ($5?.. lol)
