After three assembly and dis-assembly on my starter rebuild, I finally got it right.
Starts like a new scooter with my handmade parts.
There is a lesson for me here to remember, to * punch all the matching parts
for an easy reassembly.
Still would like to hear about a rebuild kit for the 1979 Elite 50 electric starter,
that is if there is a match.
Mahalo to those who took time to respond to my questions.
Hope I don't need help in the near future, but it is good to know you are all out there!
Good luck to all and
Aloha,
Tony
