centerstand wont stay up and drags on floor when riding

just got my 92 elite sa50-m back from the police compound after it got stolen, ive took it out and the stand seems to drag on the road when im riding, ive tightened it up but it just happens again, should i just tighten the bolts more or should i change the spring/s on it ?

The bolt that holds the stand is simply a pivot bolt- it would only need to be tightened to keep it from falling off. The spring is what holds it up, however, the pivot bolt should be lubed so that the stand moves up and down freely.

Hard to believe the spring is so shot that the stand drags and it isn't obvious to you that it needs replacing. I wonder if you have it attached wrong.

i dont know what im doing with these, hence why i posted up, wasnt like it when i first bought the scooter only started when i got the scooter back after it was stolen so didnt know what was up with it, will put new spring on tommorrow.

my kickstand was dragging on my rear tire when retracted, think it was bent when I got it.... just took it off! When parked my spree rests on an old tire in the garage
